JS1 - Shifter Mounting Instructions

 

    Attach the coupling to the transmission shiftrod or hockey stick. Fabricate a mounting platform under the base plate. This platform must be parallel to the hockey stick.

    Clamp the shifter to the mounting plate. Check for alignment and free movement.

    Slip the shifting tube over the coupler on the shifter. Set the shift lever in neutral (centered in the shifter box), put the transmission in neutral and tack weld the tube to the coupler. Check the shift pattern for all gears. Weld or bolt the base plate to the platform. Weld or clamp the tube to the coupler.

    Final adjustments can be made at the rod ends. Tighten all nuts and bolts.
